OUR FOUNDER

Kearey Construction was established in 1981 in Durban South Africa, by John Kearey and his brother James Kearey.

John Kearey earned his construction management degree in 1971 and has over four decades of experience in Africa, Australia and the island of Mauritius on military, heavy industrial, high rise, retail, commercial along with federal, state and local government institutional projects. Prior to founding Kearey Construction in North Carolina, John co-founded Kearey Construction Pty Ltd in South Africa, where he successfully grew the company to become one of the largest private construction companies in South Africa specializing in multifamily, educational, religious and government construction.
